Let’s celebrate USC Body & Mind’s 5 year anniversary!
In the week of 11-17 November, we are throwing a party at USC Body & Mind. Our most zen location celebrates its 5th birthday with 5 festive Yoga Specials. Yoga, like you’re used to at Body & Mind, but just a little longer and just a little different.
Every session takes around two hours, after which we drink a cup of tea together. You can subscribe per session. A session costs €5,-. You can get your ticket here online or at the front desk of Amstelcampus sport & fitness. Anyone can join, whether you’re a member of USC or not. Your experience with yoga doesn’t matter either, the specials are suitable for all levels!
Yin yoga – Heart openers
Tuesday 12 November, 19:00-21:30
In this special we focus on shoulders, upper back and chest. Using Yin yoga postures, we relax the deeper fascial tissue, softening the heart area. Meditations help with opening the heart. Hannah Stork will give this special.

Critical alignment yoga – Twists
Wednesday 13 November, 19:00-21:30
Release tension with twisted yoga poses and discover there’s more room in your body than you thought. We practize standing poses and simple inversions, using the tools of Critical alignment yoga. We end the special with a short meditation. This special is given by Loviisa Mellin.

Wat is Mindfulness? – ONLY IN DUTCH
Thursday 14 November, 19:00-21:30
Maak kennis met Mindfulness in deze special. Kom er achter dat het geen zweverig gedoe is. En wat heb je er eigenlijk aan? We doen een aantal eenvoudige oefeningen om zelf te ervaren wat Mindfulness is. Ook is er ruimte voor jouw vragen. Lies Holtrop geeft deze special.
Friday 15 November, 17:00-19:00
At the end of the week you can let go of all your to-do lists with Restorative yoga. We’ll do poses in which you are fully supported by props. This has a deeply relaxing effect on both the body and mind. The perfect antidote to stress! This special is given by Barbara Falorni.

Daily life yoga
Saturday 16 November, 10:00-12:30
Do you feel stuck sometimes during your studies or work? It starts in your head without notice, and suddenly your shoulders are cramped, your neck hurts or your lower back is painful. With a few simple practises for your body and voice you can release this tension. This special is given by Anna de Waard and Muriel van Dinteren.
